BRIEF HISTORY

The Australian Intercultural Society was established in 2000 by a group of professional young Australians with Turkish ethnic backgrounds to promote multiculturalism, interfaith dialogue, social harmony through social interaction and cooperation. Since the year 2000, the organization has initiated many major projects and events such as international conferences, VIP Iftar dinners, women's programs, cross-cultural youth programs, international study tours, cultural events & festivals, multi-faith visits to places of worships, neighbourhood days, Noah's Ark Boat Cruise, educational projects and on-going luncheons.
