Once again this Christmas the Australian Intercultural Society
organized interfaith visits to Melbourne's most famous
Cathedrals. Muslim families from different regions of Melbourne
gathered in groups of fifteen people to visit St Patrick's
Cathedral located at East Melbourne and St Paul's Cathedral
situated at Flinders Street Melbourne. The Muslims visitors were
most welcomed by Catholic Archbishop Dr Dennis Hart and Anglican
Archbishop Dr Philip Freier.
The visits aim to strengthen the bonds of friendship between
Christians and Muslims. Solid bridges are built between the
faiths whilst members of both faiths get the opportunity to
learn about each other's religious customs and traditions.
