AIS COVID-19 Statement

Dear friends,

Firstly, and most importantly, we hope you are safe and well.

Life as we know it has changed in a matter of weeks. The important thing for all of us is to follow the advice of the experts and to adhere to the authorities instructions for everyone’s benefit. Together we could overcome this period but it is important for all of us to play our part.

The Australian Intercultural Society (AIS) is also following the latest government (state & federal) advice and shifting programs where necessary. For the safety and welfare of the public, we have decided to cancel or postpone all AIS events until further notice. This includes the upcoming lectures, panels and Ramadan programs. We will be guided by the authorities when it is safe to resume normal programs.

We thank you for your understanding and support. Please follow us via social media for the latest info on the AIS.

Please stay up to date with all the latest advice. Reach out to loved ones and offer assistance in a safe and appropriate manner, where possible.

Keep your spirits up, your mind and body healthy. Look at this as an opportunity to read that book, or call your loved one and try something new, a new hobby perhaps !

No doubt we will come out of this stronger and learn a lot about ourselves, our society, and place important measures to respond appropriately if an outbreak of this nature were to occur again.
